Last Sunday the Government released the details of the carbon price package. There were some wins and some disappointments, but on balance the package is an important first step and provides a framework for further ambitious pollution cuts that will be critical in protecting our precious wildlife. Your support has been critical in getting us this far. But the fight to put a price on carbon is not over.

The big polluters are launching a $10 million advertising fear campaign and influential voices in the media are on the attack again.

To help cut through the misinformation we have produced a video that explains the carbon price in 2 minutes and 5 easy steps.

We now need your help to pass this on so others get the facts, and not the fiction.

Economists, scientists, CHOICE, OXFAM, religious leaders, unions, and businesses have all said YES to the plan.

It will:

• cut pollution
• clean up the skies and improve our health
• drive investment in clean energy and technology
• create new industries and jobs
• make us competitive as the rest of the world moves to reduce their pollution
• and finally do something about tackling climate change.

All this could be lost if we let the nay-sayers dominate public opinion and intimidate our politicians. They have the $$ but we have the people, which is why it’s so crucial that we spread the word to the rest of Australia now.
