Save money on bills with the Victorian Government’s Energy and Water Task Force program, a FREE service for Pensioners, Concession and Health Care Card Holders.
The Energy and Water Task Force Team will help you with:
- Free energy and water improvements around your (owned or rented) home
- Tips on how to cut your energy and water bills
A FREE visit from the team will take approximately 60 – 90 minutes and is available for residents living in Footscray, Sunshine, Wyndham Vale and surrounding suburbs.

The home assessment involves a checklist of questions asked of householders in relation to their energy and water usage in order to determine which products may be suitable for installation.
The retrofit service involved the installation of some/all of the following products:
- Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFL’s)
- Low flow shower roses
- Installing ‘Draft Stoppas’ over kitchen and bathroom exhaust vents
- Pelmets OR Holland Blinds in living areas
- Draught proofing of doors by installation of door strips and foam sealing
- Lagging for external hot water pipes
- Replacing tap washers for leaky taps
In delivering this project, Brotherhood Green are being supported by the promotion of this program by the City of Maribyrnong, City of Wyndham, City of Brimbank, New Hope Foundation, Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association and the Footscray & Wyndham Community Legal Centres.
