Home sustainability assessments for non-concession card holders

A qualified Brotherhood Green assessor will visit your home and advise you on how to reduce your energy and water use, increase the comfort of your home and help you save money on your energy bills.

Your assessment will involve physically inspecting the major energy and water systems relating to heating and cooling, water heating, lighting, refrigeration, cooking, entertainment, water efficiency and outdoor consumption and waste management.

Your assessment will take around 90 minutes depending on the amount of information readily available, the size of your property and the number of energy and water systems to check.

After your assessment, you will receive a checklist and action plan of water and energy saving measures as well as lots of practical information to get you started.

 How does it work?

Step 1 - Book your home sustainability assessment

A qualified home sustainability assessor will visit your home to investigate energy and water consumption patterns to identify how your household can save energy and water. The assessor will ask to see your water and electricity bills so they can thoroughly assess your water and energy use.

The cost per assessment is $440.00 inclusive of GST payable at the time of booking with our administration team. A tax invoice can be provided at the time of booking. Assessments are only provided in Victoria and within a 35km distance from Melbourne CBD.

Step 2 - Receive your checklist and action plan
After the assessment, you will receive an action plan, including;

  •  the best water and energy saving changes you can make to your home and
  • practical information to get you started

Step 3  - Choose which recommendations  you will take to improve your home

With an action plan, your household can make water and energy saving changes as simple or as large scale as you like.

Applicants must:
• be aged 18 or over
• be the dwelling owner, a trustee or renter listed on lease

The house/property being assessed must have been completed and occupied for at least 12 months (not necessarily by the applicant).
